Many hands make light work! Good Luck to Coach Ridley and Coach Sills - 05-28-2008 Good Luck to Coach Ridley in his new role as Head Soccer Coach at Colleyville Heritage High School. Coach Ridley has been coaching in Coppell since 1994. Good Luck to Coach Sills in his new role as Head Boys Soccer Coach at McKinney North High School. Coach Sill started coaching in Coppell in 1997. Boys Booster Meeting - 05-19-2008 Our final meeting of the year will be held in the CHS commons on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from 6:30 - 8:00. The meetings sole purpose will be to elect the board members for the 2008-2009 soccer year. In order to get through this in the time allowed, please consider nominations for the office of President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. Consider individuals that would agree to hold the post, and are strong representatives of Coppell. All players should give a check for $30 made payable to Coppell Soccer to their Coach before Dec 21, 2007 to pay for a game day polo. Sliders and shirts worn under the uniform will be white for both home and away uniforms. Attention All Parents - 08-10-2007 Athletes' parents must complete a survey at www.psaas.org (Parent Substance Abuse Awareness Survey). It's a simple survey intended to inform parents about things going on about which they might not know. Once you go to the site (www.psaas.org), click on Select District button on the left side of the page. In the drop down box, click the arrow and select Coppell ISD. On the left hand side, click Course Registration, English or Spanish, New User. Register for the course, read the information, and then complete the assessment. CHS Boys Soccer Information - 11-08-2007 Boys Booster Meeting is Monday, November 12 at 6:30 pm in the CHS Commons. See Flyer from President, David Lind. Following the regular booster meeting, each coach will be conducting a short parents meeting. CHS Cowboys Soccer Booster Membership dues are $30. Please print the membership form and mail it in! Be sure to get them before the first game - it will be getting cold!! CHS Boys Soccer - Dinner and Raffle was a Success - 10-19-2007 CHS Boys Soccer Booster hosted our fundraising dinner on Friday, October 12 before the homecoming football game. Outback Steakhouse catered the hamburger and chicken sandwich dinner. The weather was beautiful and the mood was festive!! Over $3,900 worth of prizes were awarded to the raffle winners. CHS Cowboys - Are you getting email communications? - 9-18-2007 CHS Boys Soccer Booster Meeting on Monday, Sept. 17 - 08-30-2007 CHS Boys Soccer Boosters will hold their first meeting of this school year on Monday, September 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the small commons. Click for flyer about meeting (PDF) Athletic Physical Forms due to Coaches on Aug. 27, 2007 - 08-13-2007 Each soccer player should turn in their completed Physical Evaluation Form to Coach Bybee (boys' coach) or Coach Stricker (girls' coach) on Aug. 27, 2007 (first day of school) in order to be able to work out. The Physical Evaluation Form MUST be turned in on the first day of school. There was a packet of athletic forms sent home with each soccer player last spring. It included a cover letter, Coppell ISD Athletic Policies, Emergency Information and Acknowledgement of Rules (must be notarized), Physical Evaluation Form, and Illegal Steroid Form. Please complete all of these forms and have your student give them to their coach. Parents should also complete the survey at www.psaas.org (Parent Substance Abuse Awareness Survey) as noted below. On Friday, August 31, Coach Bybee will be sending a letter home to the parents identifying all of the paperwork and online activities that everyone need to complete in order to compete in January. For the start of school, the only thing he absolutely needs is the physical. He will collect the other paperwork, but will wait to determine who is in the soccer class before he starts accounting for all of the other paperwork.
