Cowboys Receive District 6-5A Honors | 4-18-06

Courtney and Wilson Named to All Area Soccer Teams | 4-27-06

Senior Nicky Courtney was named to the DMN All Area Soccer Team. Junior Blake Wilson was named to the second team.

CHS Major "C" Award

Senior Colin McDaniel was awarded the Coppell High School Major "C" Award for Soccer at this years Senior Awards Ceremony.

Cowboys Finish Season Ranked in NSCAA Top 10 | 4-30-06

The Cowboys ended the year ranked number 8 in the nation and number 3 in Region III
by NSCAA/Adidas with a 28-3-1 record. The Cowboys had a better overall record but the two State Champions Boerne (4A) 25-2-2 and Porter (5A) 22-4-5 finished 1 and 2 in Region III.

3 Cowboys Named to UIL 5A All Tournament Team | 04-18-06

Nicky Courtney(D), Estevan Arbaiza(F) and Chandler Diggs(F) were named to the 2006 UIL State All tournament Soccer Team. Congratulations boys !

Cowboys 1- Brownsville Porter 2 (OT) | State 5A Final | 04-17-06

The boys played well enough to win out shooting Brownsville 16 - 5. Unfortunately for the Cowboys, Porter found the back of the net twice and the Cowboys only once on a beautiful 30 yard shot by Steve Hedeman. Congratulations to Brownsville Porter on their first trip to the 5A State Tournament and their first 5A soccer championship.

Cowboys 1- Dallas Jesuit 0 | State 5A Semifinal | 04-17-06

Blake Wilson scored on a header off a direct kick by Nicky Coutnery. The defense held an attacking Jesuit offense scoreless to advance to the 5A Championship game.

Cowboys 2- Southlake 0 | Region I Final | 04-08-06

The Cowboys advanced to the 5A State Tournament with a 2-0 win over Southlake. Coppell's Estevan Arbaiza, MVP for Coppell and WFAA High School Sports Special featured Play of the Game, started the scoring on a beautiful header on a cross from Chandler Diggs. Chandler Diggs also sealed the win with a goal of his own. The defense and midfield held a very aggressive Southlake team scoreless. Midfielder David Murphy was MVP for Southlake. See everyone in Georgetown (Round Rock) !

Cowboys 6- EP Hanks 1 | Region I Semifinal | 0-/07-06

The Cowboys found the back of the net 6 times to advance to the Region I Final. Scoring were Jeff Ridley - 1, Keegan Wahlhood -1, Blake Wilson -1 and "Playoff Stud" Casey Biggs had a hat trick with 3 goals. Congratulations, again, boys. FYI: Klien, Humble Kingwood and San Antonio Churchill all lost Friday night.

Cowboys 1- Marcus 0 | Region I Quarter Final | 04-05-06

Casey Biggs scored in the 18th minute of the second half off a perfect cross by Estevan Arbaiza to send the Cowboys to their eighth straight Regional Semifinal. The Cowboys defense, Nicky Courtney, Steve Hedeman, Brian Roscovius, Jeff Ridley, Aaron Peterson and goalkeeper Aaron Francis, held a very quick and physical Marcus team scoreless. Congratulations boys !

Cowboys 3- Plano West 2 | Area Final | 03-31-06

Chandler Diggs scored two goals to give the Cowboys a 2-0 lead. Plano West came back to tie it up 2-2. Colin McDaniel scored the go ahead goal with a header off a throw in. The defense held off a very quick and attacking Plano West offense to preserve the win. Congratulations boys !

Cowboys Wrap-up the 6-5A District Title | 03-21-06

		The Cowboys defeated Irving MacArthur on Senior Night 6-0 to capture the 6-5A District Championship. Congratulations boys !

Cowboys Win A/B Group Governor's Cup Championship | 01-23-06

The Cowboys defeated San Antonio Churchill 3-1 to bring home their 2nd consecutive A/B Group Governor's Cup Championship Saturday. The Cowboys went undefeated during the tournament with wins over Ft. Elkins 3-2, A&M Consolidated 4-0 and McNeil 6-1.

Big thanks to all the parents and the alumni from the Austin area that attended the games.
